T1000 Ultra-High Speed Blister Packing Line Supports Faster Pharmaceutical Packaging

As pharmaceutical manufacturers continue to pursue faster and more integrated packaging processes, equipment capable of combining high output with automated control is becoming increasingly important. Tailian Packaging Equipment CO.LTD has developed the T1000 Ultra-High Speed ALU-PVC/ALU-ALU Blister Packing Line as an integrated solution combining blister packaging and cartoning within one coordinated production line.

According to Tailian's product information, the T1000 can reach a maximum speed of 1,000 blisters per minute and 500 cartons per minute. Its stated consistent operating speed is 800 blisters per minute and 400 cartons per minute. The line is designed for both ALU-PVC and ALU-ALU pharmaceutical blister packaging applications.

Full-servo control is one of the central characteristics of the T1000. Servo technology is applied to the blister machine and cartoning section to support stable and smooth operation while simplifying format adjustment. The system is designed for quick mould changeover and adjustment, helping manufacturers manage different packaging requirements more efficiently.

The blister packaging section incorporates several design features intended for high-speed production. These include three heating zones extending over a length of 900 mm, a large-area forming station, guiding plates with cooling-water circulation, and cooling-water circulation for either rotary or platen sealing configurations. The embossing and perforating station can be repositioned within the line, while a dual-cutter punching station is designed to reduce waste. Vacuum-belt transfer is used to move blister packs efficiently.

Flexibility is also reflected in product feeding and quality control. The blister packing line can be equipped with different high-speed feeders for tablets and capsules. Multiple detection methods can be incorporated to identify and reject defective products, supporting more consistent packaging quality throughout production.

On the cartoning side, conventional manual adjustment mechanisms are replaced by servo motors. Packaging specifications can therefore be changed through parameter settings, reducing the amount of manual adjustment required during format changeover. The full-servo cartoning system also supports one-button format switching.

Another important consideration in pharmaceutical packaging is clean-zone management. The T1000 provides space between the blister machine and cartoner for an isolation wall, allowing the clean zone to be protected before pharmaceutical products are enclosed in cartons. This arrangement is designed to reduce quality risks associated with unpackaged drugs and meet GMP requirements.
